Team Liquid completes back-to-back MPL PH titles after crushing Aurora

Team Liquid Philippines captured back-to-back MPL Philippines titles after a 4-0 sweep over Aurora Gaming in the Season 16 Grand Finals at the Cuneta Astrodome on Sunday, Oct. 26.

The Cavalry moves one step closer to completing a historic golden road while also snapping Aurora’s 15-game winning streak this season.

In Game 1, Team Liquid dominated from the get-go, capped off with Kiel “Oheb” Soriano and his Harith exploding for a legendary kill in the 22nd minute mark that iced the first game.

Team Liquid extended their dominance in Game 3 after Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya’s Gatotkaca reigned supreme en route to another dominant victory.

Aurora tried to come back after Cedrix “Demonkite” Caranto’s Lord steal in the 16th minute, but Alsotn “Sanji” Pabico and his Luo Yi sneaked into the Northern Lights base and completed a backdoor play that sealed the Cavalry’s second consecutive title.

Jaypee was hailed as Finals MVP after four dominant game stretches that allowed the rest of Team Liquid to explore and dominate with their signature picks.

Team Liquid will continue their golden road dream in the M7 World Championship and will try to stamp their place as Mobile Legends’ greatest team.
