Top 5 Goalscorers of 2025: Kylian Mbappé, Harry Kane, Erling Haaland Headline global scoring charts

1. Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid / France) – 66 goals in 67 games

 

Leaping from sixth place in 2024, Kylian Mbappé has emerged as the most prolific goalscorer of 2025. The French forward has maintained an extraordinary scoring rate of nearly one goal per game (0.99) across club and country. Since joining Real Madrid, Mbappé has elevated his production to elite levels, scoring 29 goals in 24 matches so far this season. Despite his remarkable output, team silverware has been limited, with the 2024 UEFA Super Cup his only major trophy to date at the Bernabéu.

 

2. Harry Kane (Bayern Munich / England) – 60 goals in 65 games

Harry Kane remains the model of consistency. After finishing third in 2024, the Bayern Munich striker climbs to second this year, scoring 60 goals across all competitions. Kane is currently joint-top scorer across Europe’s “Big Five” leagues this season with 19 goals, level with Erling         Haaland. The 32-year-old has also been lethal on the international stage, netting nine goals in nine appearances for England in 2025, including a memorable hat trick off the bench against Stuttgart.

 

3. Erling Haaland (Manchester City / Norway) – 58 goals in 60 games


Although he drops one place from his 2024 ranking, Erling Haaland’s scoring efficiency has actually improved in 2025. The Manchester City striker is averaging a goal every 1.04 games and currently leads the Premier League scoring chart with 19 goals in 18 matches. Haaland also became the fastest player in league history to reach 100 Premier League goals, achieving the milestone in just 104 games. Internationally, he has been just as dominant, scoring 17 goals in his last nine appearances for Norway.

 

4. Kevin Hernández (Puerto Rico SSC / Puerto Rico) – 48 goals in 37 games

Kevin Hernández may not yet be a global household name, but statistically, he stands out. The Puerto Rico international boasts the best goals-per-game ratio among the top five, averaging an impressive 1.30 goals per 90 minutes in 2025. His consistency for both club and country has made him one of the most efficient scorers in world football this calendar year.

 

5. Victor Osimhen (Galatasaray / Nigeria) – 46 goals in 52 games


Victor Osimhen continues to cement his reputation as one of the world’s elite strikers. Now with Galatasaray, the Nigerian forward has scored 46 goals in 2025, building on his prolific form from Napoli’s Scudetto-winning 2022–23 campaign. Osimhen was instrumental in Galatasaray’s Süper Lig and Turkish Cup double last season and has also delivered on the international stage, scoring nine goals in nine matches for Nigeria and opening his account at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations against Tunisia.
