Veteran Filipina VALORANT player Karen “shirazi” Jaudian and her squad NOVA Esports GC saw their 2025 VALORANT Game Changers Championship (GCC) journey come to a close after a 0–2 defeat to KRÜ Blaze in the lower-bracket on November 24 — marking the end of all Asian team participation in this year’s tournament.

NOVA Esports GC opened their campaign with momentum as on opening day, they bested the Pacific region’s Ninetails in a convincing 2–0 sweep, thanks in large part to shirazi’s standout performance.

In that match, shirazi,  playing agents like Viper or Deadlock,  consistently delivered when it mattered.

On the map Haven, she recorded an impressive 21 kills, including multiple first kills, and finished with a high kill differential. Her contributions helped Nova overturn a halftime deficit with dominant mid-round calls, ultimately dismantling Ninetails’ early lead.

But those hopes were dashed in the lower-bracket clash against KRÜ Blaze. The first map, Split, was a tense, back-and-forth affair, eventually going into overtime, only for KRÜ to emerge with a tight 16–14 win.

On the second map, Haven, KRÜ cemented their dominance by exploiting early pistol rounds, grabbing control with Operator aggression, and snowballing their lead through efficient execution. Nova struggled to respond, and the map ended 13–4 in favor of KRÜ.

Despite the loss, shirazi remained Nova’s top performer after registering 38 kills in the series, according to match summary stats.

With Nova’s elimination, every Asian team in this year’s GCC, including Nova Esports GC, Ninetails, and the other Pacific-region squads, is officially out.
