Alas Pilipinas and PLDT High Speed Hitters star middle blocker Dell Palomata is set to make history as the first Filipina to play in Indonesia’s top-flight women’s volleyball league after signing with the Medan Falcons for the 2026 Proliga season. She will join the Southeast Asian club as an overseas player, with their campaign set to begin in January 2026.
PLDT High Speed Hitters management, led by head coach Rald Ricafort, expressed full support for Palomata, describing the opportunity as rare and career-defining for a Filipino volleyball player.
“The whole team and management are very supportive whenever there is an opportunity like this. We are so happy for Dell, and this will be a good break for her career,” Ricafort said in a media interaction.

PLDT officials also emphasized that the 30-year-old middle blocker remains a key figure in the team and will return to the franchise after her overseas stint.
“One conference lang si Dell sa Indonesia then she will rejoin PLDT. She will return after her Indonesia stint. Full support ang PLDT sa kanya since minsan lang dumating ganitong pagkakataon sa isang volleyball player,” PLDT team official Bajjie del Rosario added.
Palomata is currently leading PLDT’s charge in the ongoing 2025 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference, guiding the High Speed Hitters to the semifinals after a 25–21, 25–18, 23–25, 25–21 win over the Cignal Super Spikers in the quarterfinals on Monday, November 24, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Her accolades include being named Best Middle Blocker at the 2025 Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Women’s Nations Cup, and she joins the growing list of Filipinos making an impact abroad, including Alyssa Solomon (Osaka Marvelous), Jaja Santiago (Denso Airybees), Bryan Bagunas (Osaka Bluteon), and Leo Aringo (Saitama Azalea).
In nine games for PLDT this Reinforced Conference, Palomata has recorded 27 attacks, 14 blocks, and one service ace. She will also immediately join Alas Pilipinas in preparations for the 2025 Southeast Asian Games in Thailand this December, following the conclusion of the PVL.
