In January 2025, Eumir Marcial faced public scrutiny when his wife, Princess Jenniel Galarpe, a fellow boxer, accused him of infidelity, abuse, and manipulative behavior. Princess Marcial stated that she caught Eumir having an affair in October 2024 and claimed he had been living with a “young mistress” in Zamboanga.


Eumir Marcial has denied all of his wife’s accusations. In an interview, he stated that their marital problems had existed since his return from the Olympics, and he claimed that he was the victim of physical abuse, acting in self-defense. 


He also clarified that the woman seen with him was a friend and that there was no infidelity. Princess Marcial has stated she will present evidence to the court.
