The Philippines has long been a powerhouse in the Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games), boasting a rich history that dates back to its membership in the Southeast Asian Games Federation in 1977. The country has hosted the biennial sporting event four times—in 1981, 1991, 2005, and 2019—and has accumulated an impressive all-time medal tally of 1,180 golds, 1,346 silvers, and 1,702 bronzes.

In the most recent edition of the Games in 2023, the Philippines finished fifth overall, securing 58 golds, 86 silvers, and 116 bronzes.
