Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) president Ramon “Tats” Suzara has assured both fans and the media that the country’s hosting of the 2025 FIVB Men’s World Championship is on track, with just 32 days to go before the start of the event.

The FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship 2025 is set to run from September 12 to 28 at two iconic venues — the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City and the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. This will be one of the biggest volleyball tournaments ever hosted in the Philippines.

“Everything is on track when it comes to preparedness. I am thankful to all government and private sectors for their valuable contributions and time in making our hosting of the games safe, convenient, and exciting. It’s going to be a busy few weeks ahead, with all agencies working hand in hand,” Suzara said during the Final Technical Working Group Inter-Agency Meeting.

Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) chairman Patrick Gregorio expressed full confidence that the PNVF and its task force will successfully deliver on all aspects of the event.

“I’m confident that PNVF president Tats Suzara will absolutely make this work. He knows how to do it. We make sure that everybody is in coordination — and yes, they are,” Gregorio said.

The 2025 Men’s Volleyball World Championship will feature several top international volleyball teams, including Italy, Poland, and Brazil, giving local fans the rare chance to watch some of the sport’s biggest stars live in Manila.

The Philippines men’s volleyball team recently began its official training camp with 21 players called up for preparations. The squad will be trimmed down to the final 14-man roster before the tournament begins. The hosts have been drawn in Pool A alongside Tunisia, Iran, and Egypt.

With global volleyball powerhouses heading to the Philippines, the 2025 FIVB Men’s Volleyball Championship promises to be a landmark sporting event for the country and Southeast Asia.
