PatMen and Xavi8k reunite in Global Esports

Filipino VALORANT standout Patrick “PatMen” Mendoza has signed with Global Esports as part of the organization’s roster build for the upcoming 2026 VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) season, reuniting with former teammate Xavier “xavi8k” Juan.

PatMen’s move follows his breakout 2025 season with Singapore‑based Paper Rex Express, where he was a key contributor to one of the team’s most successful campaigns.

He helped Paper Rex capture the 2025 VCT Pacific Stage 2 title and was part of the squad that won the Masters Toronto championship — the team’s first international VALORANT Masters trophy. His performance also helped Paper Rex secure a top‑four finish at VALORANT Champions 2025 in Paris.

Individually, PatMen earned significant recognition across the Pacific region after being named Rookie of the Year and Initiator of the Year at the 2025 VCT Pacific Awards, becoming the only player to capture two role‑based honors at the season’s awards gala.

Paper Rex originally signed the 24‑year‑old Filipino in early 2025, replacing a veteran player and quickly integrating him into the active lineup.

During his tenure, he became the first Filipino player to win an international VALORANT Masters title, raising the Philippine flag on the global stage and contributing to the Express’s rise through Pacific competition.

Global Esports confirmed that PatMen will join its assembled lineup for the VCT Pacific 2026 season, joining players including Savva “Kr1stal” Fedorov, Go “Udotan” Kyung‑won, and xavi8k.

The roster aims to compete at both regional and international events with a mix of veteran leadership and rising talent.

In other roster moves, Federico “Papi” Evangelista has parted ways with Global Esports after serving as the team’s Controller player through the 2025 season. Meanwhile, Adrian “invy” Reyes, formerly of Team Secret, has been signed by Paper Rex to replace PatMen. Invy brings extensive Pacific VCT experience and is expected to debut with Paper Rex at the upcoming Radiant International Invitational in Fuzhou, China.

Invy’s transfer ends his three‑year stint with Team Secret, where he was a consistent performer in Pacific competition and helped position the squad as one of the region’s top VALORANT teams.
