Parity takes over as every team in the PVL takes a win and a loss this All-Filipino Conference

In perhaps the most unpredictable start to a season yet, the Premier Volleyball League All‑Filipino Conference has entered true free‑for‑all territory, with every team in the league having now experienced at least one loss. 

One of the biggest storylines came from an anticipated matchup between two titans, the PLDT High Speed Hitters and Cignal Super Spikers. Cignal, rebounding from an earlier setback, delivered a convincing straight‑sets victory over PLDT. 

Not only handing the High Speed Hitters their first loss of the conference but also reclaiming solo leadership in the standings. Erika Santos and Vanie Gandler spearheaded the offensive punch as the Super Spikers showed firepower against a previously unbeaten PLDT.

With the win, Cignal clutches the top spot on the leaderboard at 4-1, while PLDT now sits just behind at second alongside the Creamline Cool Smashers with 3-1 apiece.

Meanwhile, another compelling subplot unfolded in the clash between sibling franchises Akari Chargers and Nxled Chameleons. 

After a tough start that saw the Chargers go 0-3, Akari finally broke through with a highly anticipated four-set win over the Chameleons, snapping their slump in the conference and improving to 1-3. Nxled, which had opened the season impressively, dropped to 3-2 after suffering back-to-back defeats.

The rest of the standings further highlight the league’s balance. Farm Fresh Foxies and Galleries Tower Highrisers both hold 2-2 records, staying within striking distance of the leaders. 

Capital1 Solar Spikers stand at 2-3, keeping themselves in the hunt despite early setbacks. Meanwhile, Choco Mucho Flying Titans are at 1-3, looking to regain their rhythm and ZUS Coffee rounds out the table at 1-4.

With no clear dominant force and every team now scarred by defeat, the battle for playoff positioning has never been more competitive.

As the preliminaries continue, the latest slate of games promises even more twists, with teams eager to prove they can rise above the pack and avoid being left behind in a conference where any team can beat anyone.
