Eman Bacosa Pacquiao, one of the sons of boxing icon Manny Pacquiao, has steadily carved out a name for himself in the sport, emerging as arguably the most accomplished boxer among Manny’s children. The 21-year-old has also taken a step into show business after recently signing an exclusive contract with Sparkle GMA Artist Center.
Bacosa has previously shared that he initially preferred to carry his mother Joanna Rose’s surname despite maintaining a good relationship with his father. He later adopted the Pacquiao surname with Manny’s support, primarily to help advance his boxing career.
In recent interviews, Eman opened up about his life and journey, with some fan pages highlighting his remarks about growing up without many of life’s comforts. These discussions, however, prompted a response from Malou Masangkay, the longtime assistant of Manny Pacquiao’s wife, Jinkee, who took to Facebook to address what she described as misconceptions surrounding the family’s support for Eman.

“Ako talaga isa ako na maka witness kasi P.A ako ni madam for how many years.
Born in 2004, Eman moved to Japan at the age of 12 to continue his education, as his mother is half-Japanese. He spent five years in the country, where he learned the language and trained extensively in boxing, crediting his time in Japan for instilling discipline in his approach to the sport.
Beyond boxing and his growing presence in showbiz, Eman has also expressed plans to pursue a degree in engineering. He is currently completing his studies as a Grade 11 student through the Alternative Learning System (ALS), balancing academics with his athletic and entertainment careers.
