NLEX secures Anthony Semerad and Dominick Fajardo with two-year contract extensions

The NLEX Road Warriors have made a strong start to the 2025 PBA Philippine Cup, winning six of their first eight games to sit atop the standings.

Off the court, the Road Warriors are securing their future by extending the contracts of Filipino-Australian Anthony Semerad and Filipino forward Dominick Fajardo. Both players signed two-year extensions to remain with NLEX, formalized in a signing ceremony at the NLEX Compound in Balintawak, attended by NLEX Corporation president Luis S. Renon and team governor Ronald T. Dulatre.

The extensions reflect the key roles both players have played in NLEX’s impressive start to the tournament. Semerad, in his fifth season with the Road Warriors, is averaging 6.8 points and 6.2 rebounds per game across six appearances. Fajardo, the 30th overall pick in the 2023 PBA Rookie Draft, is contributing 5.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.2 steals per game over seven games.

Both players expressed gratitude to the NLEX management and coaching staff for their trust and pledged to continue giving their all for the team.

“I’m so grateful to boss Ronald and boss LST. What NLEX can expect from me in these next two years is a guy who will always give it his all whenever I’m on the court,” Semerad said.

“Nakakatuwa yung tiwala na binigay sa akin ng NLEX management katulad nina boss Ronald and boss LSR. Nagpapasalamat din ako kay coach Jong na nilagay nila ako sa sitwasyon na ito. Ipapakita ko lang lagi sa court kung bakit deserve ko tong contract extension,” Fajardo added.

The Road Warriors have already secured a spot in the Philippine Cup quarterfinals and will return to action after the international break on Sunday, December 7, facing the Magnolia Hotshots at the Ynares Center in Montalban.
