Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic and Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham have been named the National Basketball Association (NBA) Players of the Week for the Week 3 of the 2025-26 season.

Nikola Jokic (Western Conference Player of Week)

Nikola Jokic once again proved why he’s widely regarded as the best player in the NBA, leading the Denver Nuggets to a perfect 4-0 record in Week 3 of the 2025–26 season. The reigning MVP averaged an incredible 31.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, 13.3 assists, and 2.0 steals per game, shooting 69.6 percent from the field and 47.4 percent from three-point range.

Jokic has opened the new campaign in trademark dominant fashion, averaging 25.2 points, 13.0 rebounds, 11.9 assists, and 1.9 steals in just 34 minutes per game, while shooting 64.4 percent from the field. He currently leads the NBA in assists per game and triple-doubles (6) and ranks second in rebounds per game.

The Serbian superstar is now just 11 triple-doubles shy of surpassing Oscar Robertson (181) for the second-most in NBA history. This marks Jokic’s first Player of the Week award of the season and the 18th of his career — the most in Denver Nuggets franchise history.

Cade Cunningham (Eastern Conference Player of Week)

On the Eastern Conference side, Cade Cunningham continued his rise as one of the NBA’s brightest young stars, guiding the Detroit Pistons to a 4-0 week of their own. The 24-year-old guard averaged 31.0 points, 9.8 assists, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.1 steals while shooting 54.7 percent from the field.

His standout performance came in Detroit’s 125–107 victory, where he dropped a season-high 31 points. Through the first 10 games of the season, Cunningham has posted averages of 25.6 points, 9.8 assists, and 4.7 rebounds, shooting 46.5 percent overall.

Cunningham has already recorded six 20-point double-doubles, trailing only Jokic in that category. Impressively, he’s averaging more assists than any Pistons player since Isaiah Thomas, while leading the franchise to its best 10-game start since 2005.

This recognition marks Cunningham’s first Player of the Week honor this season and the second of his young career, the first coming on December 23, 2024.
