NBA Trade Rumors: LaMelo Ball frustrated in Charlotte

Another NBA star has reportedly grown frustrated with his team this season after NBA insider Kelly Iko reported that LaMelo Ball is open to a trade away from the Charlotte Hornets.

The frustration reportedly boiled over after the Hornets fell to the Indiana Pacers on Thursday, which dropped them to a 4-11 win-loss record.

Ball tallied 18 points, seven rebounds, and nine assists, and sat out the last 4:32 of regulation.

Reports around the league have said that the frustration goes both ways, as the Hornets have moved on from viewing the former third overall pick as their franchise star for the future.

However, another NBA insider, Jake Fischer, refuted the claims that Ball and the Hornets are seeking to part ways by saying that Charlotte has no intention of trading away the 24-year-old.

Ball himself took to X, formerly Twitter, to squash the report made by Iko, simply responding with a clown emoji.

Ball is averaging 21.6 points, 9.6 assists, and 6.9 rebounds per game this season, while still having three years left on his $203,852,600 contract.

Aside from Ball, the Hornets have a young core to build around with Brandon Miller and rookie Kon Knueppel.

The report also comes after reports emerged that Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant was looking to move on from Memphis.
