The Golden State Warriors are set to reunite the Curry brothers, with reports confirming that team management will sign Seth Curry for the remainder of the season.
Golden State initially brought Seth into training camp, but financial limitations forced the organization to waive him prior to the start of the 2025–26 NBA season. The Warriors had been operating under severe cap constraints, feeling the effects of the second-apron penalties after using the taxpayer mid-level exception to acquire Al Horford. As a result, the team carried only 14 players into the season before finally creating enough prorated cap room to fill the 15th roster spot—now earmarked for Curry.
The development was first reported by NBA insider Shams Charania of ESPN, who wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “Seth Curry intends to re-sign with the Golden State Warriors to a deal for the remainder of the season. Curry — who shot an NBA-best 45.6% from three-point range in 2024–25 — joins older brother Stephen on the Warriors for his 12th season in the league.”

Curry, now 35, went undrafted in 2013 and made his NBA debut a year later with the Memphis Grizzlies. Over the past decade, he has carved out a career as one of the league’s most reliable shooters, suiting up for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Phoenix Suns, Sacramento Kings, Dallas Mavericks, Portland Trail Blazers, Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets, and Charlotte Hornets.
He arrives in Golden State after spending the last two seasons in Charlotte, where he shot an impressive 48.3 percent from beyond the arc. Widely regarded as one of the premier shooters of his generation, Curry led the NBA in three-point percentage last season and owns a career mark of 43.3 percent from deep.
How much playing time he’ll carve out with the Warriors remains an open question, especially on a roster that features several established shooters but has nevertheless struggled from long range this season. His arrival also extends the growing list of siblings playing together in the NBA—joining duos such as Giannis and Thanasis Antetokounmpo, Brook and Robin Lopez, Evan and Isaiah Mobley, Franz and Moritz Wagner, and Marcus and Markieff Morris.
Fans eager to see the Curry brothers share the court again will have to wait, however, as Stephen Curry remains sidelined with a left quad strain. The two-time MVP is expected to be re-evaluated by the Warriors’ medical staff in the coming week.
