From Donovan Mitchell’s eruption,  Nikola Jokic’s all-around dominance in Denver to Russell Westbrook’s record-breaking performance in Sacramento, the league’s stars delivered in spectacular fashion. Nikola Jokic continued his MVP-caliber run, recording 33 points, 16 assists, and 15 rebounds for his fifth triple-double of the season as the Denver Nuggets outgunned the Miami Heat. The Nuggets built a comfortable lead early and kept control despite Andrew Wiggins’ 22 points for Miami. Denver improved to 5–2, staying perfect at home (4–0).

 

Lakers 118, Spurs 116

 

Luka Doncic nearly posted a triple-double with 35 points, 13 assists, 9 rebounds, and 5 steals, leading the Los Angeles Lakers to a hard-fought win over the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs had a chance to steal it at the buzzer, but the Lakers’ defense held strong. Harrison Barnes chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds for San Antonio. Los Angeles improved to 7–2 overall and remains unbeaten in close contests.

 

Trail Blazers 121, Thunder 119

 

The Portland Trail Blazers completed one of the biggest comebacks of the season, rallying from 22 points down to hand the Oklahoma City Thunder their first loss. Deni Avdija flirted with a triple-double, posting 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists, while Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 35 points and 9 rebounds for OKC. Portland’s 40-point fourth quarter sealed the dramatic win.

Russell Westbrook made history again with his 204th career triple-double, finishing with 23 points, 16 rebounds, and 10 assists, as the Sacramento Kings defeated the Golden State Warriors.
