Manny Pacquiao reunites with Top Rank ahead of January fight

Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao will reunite with his former promoter Bob Arum and Top Rank Boxing for this scheduled fight in January of next year.

Pacman will also reconnect with former advisor Michael Koncz as negotiations are underway for a fight on January 24, 2026.

Despite no opponent being officially announced, many believe that Pacquiao will fight World Boxing Association (WBA) Welterweight world champion Rolly Romero.

Romero has expressed his enthusiasm for the fight, but was recently ordered by the WBA to fight mandatory challenger Shakhram Giyasov.

Pacquiao and Top Rank have had a storied history, with the promotion having promoted the Filipino since 2003, starting with his career-changing first fight against Marco Antonio Barrera, until his controversial decision loss against Jeff Horn in 2018.

Pacquiao then joined rival promotion Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) shortly after departing Top Rank, while also signing with Paradigm Sports Management in 2020.
