The Magnolia Hotshots have added to their youth intake after acquiring former Ateneo Blue Eagles standout and fourth-overall pick Chris Koon from the Titan Ultra Risers.

The PBA approved the trade on Tuesday that will send former ninth-overall pick Aris Dionisio to Magnolia in exchange for Koon.

Koon has played in five games this season, averaging 7.6 points and 4.0 rebounds per game as the Giant Risers start their PBA journey with a 1-4 win-loss record.

The 6’5 guard joins fellow former UAAP standouts Zavier Lucero and Jerom Lastimosa in the new LA Tenorio-led Star Hotshots.

Magnolia has started the Philippine Cup on fire after a 3-1 start, led by Lucero and veteran guard Mark Barroca.

Meanwhile, Dionisio has only appeared in one game this season after being named an All-Star last season.

Dionisio averaged 5.4 points and 3.5 boards last season and will join a veteran core of Calvin Abueva and Von Pessumal.

The trade comes after Titan Ultra traded the signing rights to Dave Ildefonso to Converge for former Letran standout Kobe Monje.

Koon is set to make his Magnolia debut tomorrow, Oct. 29, against TNT Tropang 5G, while Dionisio and the Giant Risers will face Blackwater Bossing on Wednesday, Nov 5.
