Lito Adiwang stops Argentinian foe in ONE FC Flyweight debut

Filipino MMA fighter Lito Adiwang put his name on notice after stopping Mauro Mastromarini at ONE Fight Night 37 at the Lumpinee Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 8.

Adiwang weathered Mastromarini’s early onslaught to catch him with a looping left hook that downed the Argentinian.

The Filipino smelled blood and pounced on Mastromarino until the referee stopped the fight at 4:52 in the first round.

The win marks Adiwang’s return to the win column following his loss against Keito Yamakita last February, and improved his win-loss record to 17-6.

Meanwhile, fellow Filipino Carlo Bumina-Ang’s winning streak was put to a halt by the undefeated Elbek Alyshov.

Bumina-Ang started strong, getting the best of Alyshov in clinch exchanges en route to an easy first round.

Things turned for the worse for the Team Lakay standout after Alyshov sank in a guillotine choke that made the Filipino tap out at the 1:35 mark of the second round. The loss is the second of Bumina-Ang’s career, dropping to an 8-2 slate.
