Filipino boxing standout Kenneth Llover has arrived in Japan as he prepares to defend his Orient-Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) bantamweight title, the camp confirmed.
Llover touched down this week to begin final preparations for his upcoming bout, marking his first return to Japan since capturing the OPBF crown earlier this year.
The 22-year-old southpaw from General Trias, Cavite, won the regional belt with a first-round stoppage of Keita Kurihara at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo in March.
Llover’s camp said he will undergo a training camp in Japan and finalize weight and strategy ahead of his scheduled defense against a yet-to-be-announced opponent.

Management also indicated the fight could serve as a stepping stone toward a possible world title eliminator later in 2026, should Llover successfully retain his regional crown.
Llover, known for his knockout power and technical skill, has steadily risen through the bantamweight ranks since turning professional, earning regional titles and attracting attention from global promoters.
His return to Japan underscores the growing presence of Filipino boxing talent in international competition, with Llover aiming to extend his unbeaten streak and make a statement on foreign soil.
