Kawhi Leonard and Jaylen Brown named NBA Players of the Week for Week 10 of the 2025-26 season

Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard and Boston Celtics guard-forward Jaylen Brown have been named the National Basketball Association (NBA) Players of the Week for the Week 10 of the 2025-26 season.

Kawhi Leonard has looked every bit in peak form this season, leading the Los Angeles Clippers to a perfect 3–0 week highlighted by a historic scoring performance. The two-time NBA Finals MVP poured in a career-high 55 points against the Detroit Pistons, matching the franchise record for most points scored in a single game.

Leonard was dominant across three appearances, averaging 41.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 2.7 steals per game while shooting an efficient 58 percent from the field, 50 percent from three-point range, and an outstanding 97.1 percent from the free-throw line. The 34-year-old topped the NBA in scoring last week and has now scored at least 20 points in a season-high 13 consecutive games.

The impressive stretch earned Leonard his first NBA Player of the Week award of the season. It was the 11th such honor of his career and his fifth since joining the Clippers, further underscoring his impact when healthy.

The Boston Celtics continued their strong run behind the stellar play of Jaylen Brown, who also earned Player of the Week recognition. Brown averaged 32.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.7 steals while shooting 55.9 percent from the field, 42.9 percent from beyond the arc, and 80.0 percent from the free-throw line.

Brown recorded his ninth 30-point game of the month, tying a franchise record previously held by Celtics legend Larry Bird. He also finished December with a scoring average of 32.7 points per game — the highest single-month average by a Boston player in franchise history.

The honor marked Brown’s second Player of the Week award this season and the sixth of his NBA career, highlighting his continued emergence as one of the league’s premier scorers.
