The Farm Fresh Foxies continued their remarkable run in the ongoing 2025 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference, securing their third playoff appearance in just two seasons in the league.

Riding high on momentum, the Foxies defeated two-time PVL champions Petro Gazz Angels, 25-21, 25-22, 21-25, 28-26, on Tuesday, November 11, at the FilOil EcoOil Arena.

It was another well-rounded team performance from the young but gritty Farm Fresh squad. Trisha Tubu led the charge with 14 points, while Ces Molina delivered an all-around effort with 10 points, 19 excellent digs, and 11 receptions. Lorene Toring and Rizza Cruz combined for 13 points, while setter Alohi Robins-Hardy orchestrated the offense with 21 excellent sets. Alyssa Bertolano also shined on defense with 13 digs and 11 receptions.

Head coach Alessandro Lodi praised his team’s resilience and growing stature in the league, asserting that the Foxies deserve to be considered among the PVL’s elite.

“It’s really hard to play against us. If we are close enough — if we can fight and work our way there and stay close at the end of sets — sooner or later, I will make a difference. And it happened again today,” Lodi said in the post-match press conference.

The Foxies’ young core, guided by veteran leaders, has proven formidable throughout the conference. The team currently leads the league in attacking and serving — strengths that were once again on display against Petro Gazz, finishing with 68 attacks and five aces.

“I sound like a broken record, but my team is gritty, my team never gives up, and we have that serving pressure that people really don’t like,” Lodi added.

Since taking over the reins in May, Lodi has overseen a rapid transformation of the Farm Fresh program, emphasizing discipline, hard work, and long-term development.

“Generally speaking, the growth has been immense. Even just comparing to one month, a few weeks before the conference — that surprised me. It’s the culmination of six months of work, of struggle, of ups and downs. We knew we were putting in the work and investing what was necessary to hit the big jackpot at the end,” he continued.

The Italian mentor described the team’s evolution as a complete overhaul rather than a mere adjustment.

“The change for us has been closer to a revolution than a simple adjustment, and every player would confirm that. In those phases, sometimes you feel like you can’t play volleyball — but you are on your way. People don’t see it yet, but it’s happening now. We are not there yet. We still have to clean up some things. But it makes me proud. And I want everyone represented in this picture. It’s the whole team,” Lodi concluded.

With their playoff berth nearly secured, the Farm Fresh Foxies will look to sustain their winning momentum when they face the Galeries Tower Highrisers on Saturday, November 15, in Preliminary Round 2 at the Ynares Center in Montalban.
