Former NBA player Jason Collins reveals battle with stage 4 brain cancer

Former NBA center Jason Collins is battling stage 4 brain cancer, the retired professional athlete announced Friday.

In a statement shared with media, Collins confirmed his diagnosis and said he is undergoing treatment while remaining focused on his health and family. 

In announcing his diagnosis, Collins thanked supporters and urged others to prioritize regular health screenings. He said he plans to continue advocating for health awareness even as he navigates his own treatment regimen.
