Undefeated Filipino fighter Ian Paul “Choco” Lora set for big international debut at BRAVE CF 98

Daraga, Albay’s own Ian Paul “Choco” Lora is stepping into the global MMA spotlight. At just 20 years old and unbeaten with a 3-0 professional record, Lora will make his international debut at BRAVE CF 98 on September 19 in Zhengzhou, China. 

Representing Lion’s Den MMA Academy, he faces India’s Owais Yaqoob (3-1), in a three-round lightweight showdown at Henan TV Studio 8.

Lora’s rise has been nothing short of explosive. His record includes one win by knockout, another via submission, and a decision win—a variety that underscores both his finishing instincts and well-rounded skills. 

One of his most memorable moments came last May, when he delivered a nine-second knockout of Virgin Islander Lolo Cruz with a lethal left hook. That finish has made him a name to watch among Filipino MMA fans and promoters.

Facing Yaqoob won’t be easy: his Indian opponent is also making his BRAVE CF debut and comes in on a three-fight win streak, the latest ending with a TKO in April. It’s a test that could define Lora’s trajectory.
