Giannis Antetokounmpo was unstoppable as Greece came one step closer to its third EuroBasket title following a 87-76 win against Lithuania in the Quarterfinals on Thursday morning.

Antetokounmpo continued his strong form after delivering 29 points on 60% efficiency from the field while also tallying six assists en route to the win.

Carrying a six-point lead at halftime, Greece outscored Lithuania 20-14 in the third quarter to extend its advantage, 64-52, heading into the final frame. Giannis powered a final quarter surge as the Greeks led by as much as 16 points en route to the dominant win.

Jonas Valanciunas tallied a double-double with 24 points and 15 rebounds, while Arnas Velicka and Gytis Radzevicius combined for 22 markers.

They will face Alperen Sengun and the unbeaten Turkey, who toppled Poland, in the semifinals on Saturday (PH time).

Meanwhile, Luka Dončić’s heroic 39 points were not enough as Slovenia fell short against powerhouse Germany, 99-91.

Germany got off to a slow start after relinquishing a 32-21 lead in the first quarter, but picked things up in the second and third quarters to overtake the Lithuanians, 77-74, early in the final frame.

Both teams went back and forth until Germany seized the momentum with two minutes to book their semifinal ticket.

Orlando Magic star Franz Wagner led Germany with 23 markers and seven rebounds, while Dennis Schröder followed with 20 points and seven assists.

Dončić almost tallied a triple-double with 10 rebounds and seven assists, while Kremen Prepelic and Gregor Hrovat contributed 13 and 11 points, respectively.

The Germans will face Finland, which trumped Georgia, 93-79, in the semifinals on Saturday.
