Gilas Pilipinas guard Dwight Ramos became the fourth Filipino to garner 2000 career points in the Japan B.League on Sunday, Oct. 19.
Ramos delivered 13 points and eight assists to help Levanga Hokkaido defeat Fighting Eagles Nagoya, 90-74.
The former Ateneo standout hit the 2,000-point mark in the first quarter after sinking a mid-range jumper.
Facing fellow Filipino import, Francis Lopez, who was held to zero points, Ramos sought to bounce back and tie the weekend series with Nagoya after faltering, 91-74, the day before, where he also contributed 13 points.
Keisei Tominaga led the team with 21 markers, while former Philadelphia 76ers prospect Jahlil Okafor tallied 17 points.
Ramos has had a stellar season so far for Hokkaido, becoming one of the Anchors for the team, who is looking to make the postseason.
The 27-year-old had his best game of the season on Oct. 5 after finishing with 29 points, three rebounds, and three assists as Hokkaido also bounced back from a loss against the Diamon Dophins Nagoya.
