Dave Ildefonso was named the Most Valuable Player of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) 2025 Season on Tuesday at the Quezon Convention Center.

Ildefonso, a 6-foot-4 guard-forward from Ateneo, was a key contributor to the Abra Solid North Weavers’ run to the North Division championship.

In his first full MPBL season, he averaged 17.5 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.6 steals per game.

Selected in the PBA draft by NorthPort before his rights were traded to Converge, Ildefonso is expected to bolster Converge after the Philippine Cup.
