The Cignal HD Spikers continued their impressive run in the 2025 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) on Tour, securing a convincing straight-sets victory over the Capital1 Solar Spikers, 25-21, 25-22, 25-16, on Monday at the Chavit Coliseum.

This win marks Cignal’s second consecutive sweep in the preseason tournament, propelling them to a flawless 2-0 record.

Coming off a dominant performance against the Akari Chargers on Sunday, the HD Spikers showed no signs of slowing down, exhibiting their veteran poise and cohesive team play against the younger Capital1 squad.

While the Solar Spikers displayed flashes of brilliance and showed improvement from their opening game loss to Creamline, Cignal’s firepower and overall execution proved too much to handle.

Setter Gel Cayuna once again orchestrated a masterful offensive assault for Cignal, earning Player of the Game honors with an impressive 27 excellent sets to go along with five points of her own. Her precise playmaking distributed the ball effectively, allowing various attackers to shine.

Leading the scoring for Cignal was Erika Santos, who delivered another strong outing with 11 points built on eight attacks and three crucial blocks. Veteran Roselyn Doria also chipped in significantly with 10 points.

Supporting their efforts were Ishie Lalongisip and Jackie Acuña, who each contributed eight points, while Heather Guino-o provided a spark off the bench with seven markers against her former team. Rookie Jessa Ordiales also made an immediate impact in the third set, adding three points.

Despite the loss, Capital1’s Rovena Instrella was a bright spot, being the lone Solar Spiker to reach double digits with 11 points on nine attacks, one ace, and one block. Trisha Genesis added nine points, while rookie Pia Abbu contributed eight points, including two kill blocks.

With this commanding win, Cignal now shares the early lead in Pool B with Creamline, setting up a highly anticipated clash between the two unbeaten teams on July 1 at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.

Meanwhile, Capital1 will look to bounce back from their 0-2 start when they face the Chery Tiggo Crossovers on July 5 at the Ynares Center Montalban.
