The Farm Fresh Foxies have suffered another major setback just days after parting ways with head coach Alessandro Lodi, as opposite hitter Caitlin Viray has officially bid farewell to the franchise.
Farm Fresh management confirmed Viray’s departure on its social media platforms Tuesday, December 9, thanking the former UST standout for her contributions and for taking what the team described as a “leap of faith” in joining the Foxies during their formative stage in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).
“Thank you to Foxy Caitlin Viray for taking a leap of faith and choosing to be a part of the Farm Fresh family when we were still starting in the PVL. We hope we made a mark in you and your life as you move forward to your next destination. Best of luck and see you from the other side of the court,” the team said in its statement.

Viray, a product of the UST Golden Tigresses program in the UAAP, joined Farm Fresh as part of its nine-player offseason recruitment ahead of the 2024 All-Filipino Conference. She suited up for multiple PVL conferences as the young franchise continued to build its identity.
Playing behind four-time PVL Best Opposite Hitter Trisha Tubu, Viray saw limited action throughout her stint with the Foxies. Before her move to Farm Fresh, she spent four seasons with the Choco Mucho Flying Titans from 2020 to 2024.
Her exit marks the latest change for the Foxies following the departure of Italian coach Alessandro Lodi, who ended his seven-month run with the team.
Farm Fresh recently dominated the elimination round of the Reinforced Conference, posting a franchise-best 7–1 record to secure the top spot heading into the quarterfinals. However, the Foxies’ championship hopes abruptly ended after a stunning straight-sets loss to the eighth-seeded Akari Chargers, who delivered a 26–28, 30–28, 25–21 upset on November 24 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The defeat made Farm Fresh the first No. 1 seed in PVL history to be eliminated in the quarterfinals.
