The Farm Fresh Foxies have been dealt a major setback just days after the conclusion of the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference, as head coach Alessandro Lodi has officially parted ways with the team.

Lodi confirmed his departure on Instagram, expressing gratitude to his players, the Farm Fresh staff and management, and supporters who stood by him during his seven-month tenure in the Premier Volleyball League.

“April 23–November 30. An intense seven month period comes to an end and it’s time to say goodbye to the Philippines and Farm Fresh Foxies. To all my beloved players, my immensely supportive staff and to all those who unconditionally supported me and us in this journey goes my heartfelt thank you,” Lodi wrote.

He added: “We did some remarkable things, we grew, we celebrated and cried together, we lived our lives to the fullest. We focused on our jobs and didn’t let anything affect our pride and confidence. The 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference showed a team that fought, overcame obstacles and left an undeniable positive impression. You did good, Foxies. You did good.”

Under Lodi, the Foxies dominated the elimination round of the Reinforced Conference, finishing atop the standings with a 7-1 record — the best showing in the franchise’s brief history — and entering the quarterfinals as one of the tournament favorites.

However, Farm Fresh’s championship aspirations were cut short by an inspired Akari Chargers squad, who pulled off a shocking 26–28, 30–28, 25–21 sweep on Monday, November 24, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. The Chargers, seeded eighth, outplayed the Foxies throughout the match, making Farm Fresh the first top seed in PVL history to be eliminated in the quarterfinals.

Lodi, a popular figure among his players and staff, leaves the team searching for a new head coach for the fourth time in just two years. The Foxies have seen frequent leadership changes, with Jerry Yee managing three conferences, Shota Sato two, Benson Bocboc one (in an interim capacity), and Lodi overseeing two tournaments, including the PVL On Tour preseason event.
