The Reyes Cupis set for another star-studded staging in Manila, and this time, two legends will be calling the shots from the sidelines.
Former world champion Francisco “Django” Bustamante has been appointed captain of Team Asia, while former US Open champion Jeremy Jones takes charge of Team Rest of the World for the second edition of the international billiards showdown on October 16–19 at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Bustamante, one of the Philippines’ most decorated cue artists, will look to guide Asia to a successful title defense on home soil.

“It is such an honor to be named captain of Team Asia, especially here in the Philippines. The Reyes Cup means so much to our fans, and I will do everything I can to lead our team to defend the title Efren claimed,” he said.
Jones, meanwhile, embraces his first captaincy role in the event, eager to turn the tables and deliver a victory for the visiting squad.
The announcement signals the next chapter for the Reyes Cup, a tournament named in honor of Filipino legend Efren “Bata” Reyes and staged in partnership with Puyat Sports. Matches will be broadcast locally by Cignal via One Sports, One Sports+, and the Pilipinas Live app.
Bustamante and Jones are no strangers to the Manila crowd. Both were part of the exhibition matches during the inaugural Reyes Cup last year, and now return in leadership roles that will test their tactical instincts as much as their reputations.
With two icons now steering the competition, the stage is set for an October showdown where experience, strategy, and national pride take center stage.
