Chua and BIado both competed in the US Open last August, where they reached the semifinals and Last 16 rounds, respectively.

Biado had recently competed in the World 10-ball Championship in Vietnam, where he advanced to the semifinals but fell short against Chung Ko Ping, 3-0.

Chua comes in this year as the defending champion after toppling “The Filipino Slayer” Ko Pin Yi, 13-7, in last year’s thrilling final, while Biado reached the semifinals but failed to make it an All-Filipino affair in the last match.
