England captain Harry Kane is on the verge of reaching a remarkable milestone that would see him surpass both Cristiano Ronaldo and Erling Haaland as the fastest player to score 100 goals for a club in Europe’s top five leagues this century.
Kane, who has been in sensational form since joining Bayern Munich in 2023, sits on 98 goals in just 103 appearances across all competitions. Should he score a brace against Werder Bremen this Saturday (September 27, Philippine Standard Time) at the Allianz Arena, he will reach the 100-goal mark in only 104 games — one fewer than the 105 it took both Ronaldo (Real Madrid) and Haaland (Manchester City) to achieve the feat.
The 32-year-old striker has been a transformative signing for the German champions, having arrived from Tottenham Hotspur in a deal worth €100 million plus €10 million in add-ons. In the ongoing 2025–26 Bundesliga season, Kane has already bagged 14 goals in just eight matches, helping Bayern sit atop the table with four wins in four games.

“He still has the hunger to win trophies — and he can do that at Bayern,” said Bayern manager Vincent Kompany. “He’s always been a goalscorer, but he has developed his game further. He drops between the lines, escapes defenders, and leads the team brilliantly.”
Kane’s red-hot form has also propelled Bayern to a record-breaking 18 goals through the first four Bundesliga games — the most by any team in league history at this stage.
Opposition coach Horst Steffen of Werder Bremen acknowledged the challenge of facing the in-form forward, calling Kane “clever and unpredictable.”
“We shouldn’t concede any penalties against him. He has such fine feet and a great sense for positioning,” Steffen said. “He often drops deep to dictate play. We’ll need to stay compact and surround him with multiple defenders.”
Despite the daunting task, Steffen vowed that Bremen will approach the game with confidence.
“We’re going to Munich with a bold attitude. We expect to have only about 30 percent possession and will be doing a lot of defending. But this is Bayern — a top European team,” he added.
As it stands, Bayern Munich lead the Bundesliga with 12 points from four matches. Werder Bremen, meanwhile, sit in 14th place with just one win and three losses.
