Savannah Davison has been nothing short of electric for the PLDT High Speed Hitters—soaring for points, digging balls off the floor, and leading with boundless energy.

On Sunday night, the Fil-Canadian star’s stellar all-around play was rewarded as she claimed her first-ever Premier Volleyball League Most Valuable Player (MVP) award, adding yet another highlight to her meteoric rise.

The recognition came just two weeks after she helped PLDT capture its maiden title in the PVL On Tour.

Despite missing one elimination game, the 26-year-old still ranked third in scoring with 94 points built on 81 attacks, nine blocks, and four service aces across four matches.

Beyond sheer numbers, Davison’s versatility stood out—finishing second in spiking (38.57%), third in service (0.22 aces per set), sixth in blocking (0.50 per set), and seventh in receiving (30.00%).

But PLDT didn’t just have one MVP—it had two.

Defensive dynamo Kath Arado made history as the first libero ever to win PVL Finals MVP, earning the distinction after anchoring PLDT’s title-clinching victory over Japan’s Kobe Shinwa University, 21-25, 31-29, 25-22, 25-18.

With her steady presence on the floor, Arado kept the High Speed Hitters composed against the firepower of Nagisa Komatsuda, Kokoro Yasuma, and Reira Miyazaki. She finished the night with 22 excellent digs and 11 excellent receptions, later lifting both the Finals MVP award and the Best Libero honor—her fifth overall.

The rest of the PVL Invitational awardees reflected the league’s mix of veteran excellence and fresh talent. Creamline’s Jema Galanza cemented her place as one of the all-time greats, bagging her sixth Best Outside Hitter award to become the second-most decorated player at the position. She shared the honor with Kobe Shinwa’s prolific scorer Nagisa Komatsuda.

Chery Tiggo’s Ara Galang also celebrated a career milestone, earning her first-ever professional individual award as Best Opposite Spiker. In the middle, Creamline’s Jeanette Panaga added another feather to her cap by taking home her eighth Best Middle Blocker award—extending her dominance as the winningest player in her position. She was joined by rising star Riza Nogales of ZUS Coffee, who secured the same honor in only her second PVL conference.

Rounding out the awardees was Kobe Shinwa’s Sakura Furuta, who masterfully orchestrated her team’s offense. The Japanese playmaker led the tournament in setting with 5.84 excellent sets per frame while also placing fourth in service (0.21 aces per set).

From Davison’s MVP-worthy firepower to Arado’s historic Finals MVP run, PLDT’s latest championship sweep was not only a triumph of teamwork but also a showcase of individual brilliance that left a lasting mark on PVL history.
