The Farm Fresh Foxies have significantly strengthened their squad for the ongoing Premier Volleyball League (PVL) On Tour preseason tournament by adding the dynamic duo of Ces Molina and Ria Meneses.
Farm Fresh announced the signing of Molina and Meneses on their social media accounts on Tuesday, July 8, stating:
“You may have seen a couple of jersey swap edits of Ria Meneses and Ces Molina online over the past few months, but this one’s official. They are home. Let’s go, Farm Fresh Nation.”
This brings to an end a six-month hiatus for the duo following their tumultuous exit from the Cignal HD Spikers. Notably, both Molina and Meneses bid farewell to the franchise in the middle of the 2024–25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
Molina and Meneses’ talent agency, Avior Management, confirmed the development in a shocking announcement on Thursday, January 9, stating that the duo would no longer represent Cignal.
“Ces Molina, Marivic Meneses, and Avior Talent Management extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Cignal HD Spikers management for the unwavering support and opportunities given to Frances Xinia Molina and Marivic Meneses over the past three years. Your dedication and guidance have been instrumental in shaping their careers and leaving a legacy of excellence. Thank you for being an incredible part of their journey,” Avior Management’s statement read.
The 2023 PVL Invitational Conference Most Valuable Player (MVP), Molina revealed that it was a relief to return to the court after a six-month gap.
“It’s nice to have a new opportunity. It’s a fresh start for me, and the thought of it excites me. I’m also a breadwinner, and now that I’m back in the PVL, I get to continue helping my family, which is very important to me,” Molina said.
“This is our passion, and I’m happy we get to play again after a few months. I’m looking forward to playing again with Ate Rachel and, at the same time, getting to know the new players. I hope I can help, especially the younger ones,” Meneses added.
Farm Fresh assistant team manager Kiara Cruz welcomed the addition of the dynamic duo, stating that Molina and Meneses can immediately join the squad for the ongoing PVL On Tour—but their participation will depend on their conditioning and the assessment of head coach Alessandro Lodi.
“We are very excited to have them, and we are grateful that they chose us among other teams who also wanted to recruit them. As of now, they are just about to join training, so we will see if they are ready for battle. Their safety and health are our priority,” Cruz said.
Molina and Meneses will reunite with former Cignal teammates Jheck Dionela, Rachel Anne Daquis, and Alohi Robins-Hardy at Farm Fresh. Their addition further deepens the team’s talent pool.
Farm Fresh currently sits at the bottom of the standings in Pool A with a 0-1 record, and it remains uncertain whether Molina and Meneses will make their Foxies debut when they face the Choco Mucho Flying Titans on Saturday, July 12, at the Capital Arena in Ilagan City.
