Jinkee Pacquiao shares an emotional message after husband Manny is inducted into the Boxing Hall of Fame

Philippine boxing icon Manny Pacquiao, widely recognized as one of the greatest and most popular fighters in the history of the sport, was officially inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame during a star-studded ceremony on Sunday, June 8, in Canastota, New York.

Pacquiao’s induction into the Hall of Fame came ahead of his much-anticipated return to the ring, after announcing his boxing comeback to challenge Mario Barrios for the World Boxing Council (WBC) welterweight championship on July 19 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Jinkee Pacquiao, wife of the legendary fighter, was present at the event and took to social media to share a heartfelt message paying tribute to the Filipino boxing icon.

“I never imagined this moment, but by God’s grace, here we are. This is not about boxing. It’s about faith. Family. Sacrifice. Purpose. It’s about every Filipino and every fan who believed in me, even when the doubters didn’t,” Jinkee wrote in her post on Instagram.

Among the top celebrities who attended the Hall of Fame ceremony were Pacquiao’s long-time coach Freddie Roach, Top Rank CEO Bob Arum, and Hollywood actress Sydney Sweeney, who came with former American professional boxer Christy Martin—whom the actress is set to portray in an upcoming biopic.

Jinkee also gave an interview to a media organization, thanking the Hall of Fame for inducting her husband and dedicating the award to all of Pacquiao’s loyal fans.

“We are so grateful for the love and support you have shown Manny through the years. The honor is for all of you. Please continue to pray for him as he takes on this new challenge,” Jinkee stated.

Along with Pacquiao, others inducted into the Hall of Fame include Vinny Paz, Michael Nunn, Yessica Chavez, Mary Jo Sanders, Anne Sophie Mathis, Cathy Davis, referee Kenny Bayless, cutman Al Gavin (posthumous), referee Harry Gibbs (posthumous), broadcaster Randy Gordon, television producer Ross Greenburg, Rodrigo Valdez (posthumous), and Owen Swift (posthumous).
