Jackie Buntan to defend title against rival Stella Hemetsberger in February

Reigning ONE Women’s Strawweight Kickboxing World Champion Jackie Buntan is scheduled to defend her title in February 2026, when she rematches Stella Hemetsberger in the main event of ONE Fight Night 40 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The bout, set for Feb. 13 and expected to air on Prime Video, will be a rematch of their first encounter at ONE Fight Night 35 in September 2025.

In that initial meeting, Buntan and Hemetsberger battled for the vacant ONE Women’s Strawweight Muay Thai World Title in a five-round main event. 

Hemetsberger scored two early knockdowns and went on to win by unanimous decision, becoming Austria’s first ONE World Champion.

Despite absorbing significant damage and mounting a strong comeback in later rounds, Buntan was unable to overcome the early deficit on the judges’ scorecards.

Buntan, 28, captured her kickboxing crown in November 2024 with a unanimous-decision victory over former champion Anissa Meksen and has since established herself as one of the top strikers in the sport.

For Hemetsberger, the upcoming fight represents another chance to cement her place among the elite by potentially becoming a two-discipline world champion, a feat that the Filipina once tried to capture in their first outing.

The rematch main event is expected to headline the Lumpinee Stadium card, which also features other featured fights on the February lineup.
