The Philippines’ SIBOL Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) teams continued their impressive runs at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games on Monday, with both the women’s and men’s sides advancing toward medal contention in their respective brackets.

The SIBOL Women’s MLBB team moved two series wins away from redemption in the women’s tournament, maintaining an undefeated mark through the group stage and securing an automatic berth in the semifinals.

The Filipinas swept their group rivals, posting 2–0 victories over Laos, Vietnam, and Thailand, and setting up a potential semifinal clash with Indonesia, the squad that halted their gold medal bid at the previous SEA Games after a thrilling best-of-five finals in 2023.

In Game 1 against Laos, the Philippines quickly asserted control, and standout performer Clarisse “CLA” Cordova delivered a flawless performance on Harith.

The women closed out Game 2 in commanding fashion, thanks to consistent aggression and objective control that overwhelmed their Southeast Asian rivals.

Meanwhile, the SIBOL Men’s MLBB team advanced to the gold medal match with a 3–1 victory over Indonesia in their semifinal matchup.

After dropping Game 1 to Indonesia’s early Phoveus pick, the Philippines responded in Game 2 with a strong map presence and an uncontested Lord take that swung momentum.

Key contributions from players such as Alston “Sanji” Pabico on Pharsa and Jaypee “Jaypee” Dela Cruz on Gatotkaca helped the Philippines secure wins in Games 3 and 4, ultimately clinching their spot in the MLBB Men’s gold medal match scheduled for Wednesday, December 17.

A victory in the final would mark a historic four-peat gold medal performance for the Filipino men’s MLBB program, which has consistently topped the podium in prior SEA Games editions.
