Volleyball circles erupted on Tuesday as Chery Tiggo officially disbanded, leaving top-tier talents like Ara Galang, Jasmine Nabor, and Shaya Adorador suddenly in career limbo.
At the center of the storm is Flavius Dulce, CEO of Hustle and Groove Management Inc., whose phone never stopped buzzing as the task of relocating his clients began.
Even though most fans may not know him by name, Dulce instantly became the man to call. His agency manages several high-profile players, including Chery Tiggo’s standout hitters, and now he faces the delicate job of placing them on new teams.
“I asked her which team to go to, she jokingly said, ‘any team as long as it won’t disband,’” Dulce told the Inquirer, referring to Galang’s lighthearted yet pointed reaction.
Galang’s journey has been marked by resilience. A former F2 Logistics ace, she navigated the dissolution of that powerhouse squad before settling in Chery Tiggo alongside Aby Maraño. Now, with the latest disbandment, she faces another crossroads.

“Right now, Ara is still surprised and would rather not talk to other teams yet,” Dulce added. “She’s contemplating how to move forward, like which is the best team she should go to. We are looking for a team that is not overloaded with [players in] her position … Ara still wants to play as much as she can. The offers are coming in as of the moment.”
Tuesday marked an intense day for Dulce and his agency. Other players seeking new homes include Nabor and Adorador, part of Chery’s 2021 title-winning squad and recent On Tour finals appearance, as well as rising talents Ren Peñafiel, Seth Rodriguez, Joyme Cagande, Cza Caradang, Daps Dapol, and Erika Deloria.
“This happened before with F2, and I know I was able to place them all in different teams. I have a two-way communication with the team managers, and I make sure it is a mutual agreement between the player and the interested team,” said Dulce. “We avoid bidding, out of courtesy to the team owners. There are teams, however, that really like a specific player, so I let the player weigh her options.”
The Inquirer first reported the disbandment, detailing the emotional meeting between management and players. Soon after, Chery Tiggo confirmed its exit from the league, sending ripple effects across the volleyball landscape as both veterans and young stars now hunt for new opportunities.
