BOOM Esports has secured a knockout-stage berth in the Honor of Kings International Championship (KIC) 2025, joining fellow Filipino squad Blacklist International as the country’s last two standing teams.

BOOM locked in their spot by knocking out Indonesia’s Kagendra in a tense showdown in the Group C lower-bracket finals, edging them 3–1.

In Game 1, Kagendra took early control courtesy of double kill from Zhao “LanFeng” Enlei on Chano to build a lead in the mid lane.

But BOOM refused to back down. In Game 2, John “Daniii” Bulanadi, playing as Ao’Yin, made a clutch pick-off on Wong “Lu” Hin’s Mozi during a 15-minute crystal siege.

The move helped BOOM tie the series, powered by Daniii’s 6-1-3 KDA showing.

Game 3 proved to be a war of attrition with a 24-minute battle where BOOM held firm. Daniii, this time on Chano, delivered under pressure in the final push, while Miguel “Miggie” Banaag on Charlotte was named MVP with a 7-4-9 KDA.

In the deciding Game 4, BOOM closed it out in style. Daniii’s Marco Polo made a backdoor play to seal the deal, finishing the series with a 3-2-3 KDA.

With that win, both BOOM Esports and Blacklist International now advance to the knockout stage.
