Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has been cleared to return to basketball activities after being sidelined for the start of the 2025-2026 NBA regular season due to Sciatica.

James has been on the bench for the Lakers as they started the season 7-2, courtesy of Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves.

Team physicians said that James will be re-evaluated in one to two weeks, signalling the former MVP’s imminent debut in his 23rd season in the NBA.

The No. 1 scorer in NBA history has not yet trained and practiced with the team since being shut down in training camp. He was cleared to return to basketball activities, but will not be traveling with the team as they begin their five-game away slate in Atlanta on Saturday.
