The highly anticipated B.League showdown between Filipino imports Dwight Ramos and Ray Parks Jr. resulted in a 1-1 split, as Ramos’ Levanga Hokkaido and Parks’ Osaka Evessa each claimed a victory in their two-game weekend series.
On Saturday, the Osaka Evessa secured the first game, defeating Levanga Hokkaido with a final score of 84-69. The turning point came in the fourth quarter, when Osaka’s defense completely stifled Hokkaido’s offense.
The Evessa used a decisive 29-15 advantage in the final period, highlighted by a nearly seven-minute scoring drought for Hokkaido that bridged the third and fourth quarters. This defensive mastery transformed a slim deficit into a comfortable 15-point lead for Osaka.
Ray Parks Jr. contributed 12 points in the victory, while Dwight Ramos paced Hokkaido with 13 points in the losing effort.
