The NBA delivered another jam-packed night of action on Monday, November 3 (PH time), headlined by Luka Dončić’s all-around brilliance as the Los Angeles Lakers turned back the Miami Heat, 130-120, at Crypto.com Arena.

Mitchell ignites Cavaliers over Hawks

 

In Cleveland, Donovan Mitchell exploded for a season-high 37 points with eight three-pointers as the Cavaliers overcame the Trae Young-less Hawks, 117-109.

 

Mitchell took over late, while Jalen Johnson tried to keep Atlanta afloat with 23 points and 13 rebounds. The Cavs improved to 4-3, while the Hawks dropped to 3-4.

 

Oubre, Maxey push Sixers past Nets

 

Kelly Oubre Jr. led a balanced Philadelphia attack with 29 points as the 76ers cruised past the struggling Brooklyn Nets, 129-105, on the road.

 

Tyrese Maxey added 26 points, and Quentin Grimes dished out 13 assists in the win. For Brooklyn, Nic Claxton finished with 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 blocks, but it wasn’t enough as the Nets fell to 0-6.

Brunson, Knicks snap skid

 

At Madison Square Garden, Jalen Brunson poured in 31 points to lift the New York Knicks to a 128-116 victory over the previously unbeaten Chicago Bulls.

 

Karl-Anthony Towns had a strong double-double with 20 points and 15 rebounds, while Josh Giddey flirted with a triple-double for the Bulls (23 PTS, 12 REB, 12 AST). The Knicks (3-3) snapped a three-game losing streak, while the Bulls (5-1) suffered their first loss.

 

Booker, Suns hand Spurs first defeat

 

In Phoenix, Devin Booker led the Suns with 28 points and 13 assists, steering his team to a 130-118 win over the previously unbeaten San Antonio Spurs.

 

Stephon Castle paced San Antonio with 26 points and 7 rebounds, but Victor Wembanyama struggled in an off night only putting up 9 points and 9 rebounds. The Suns (3-4) shot efficiently and never lost control, while the Spurs slipped to 5-1.

 

SGA, Thunder dominate Pelicans

 

The Oklahoma City Thunder extended their hot start with a 137-106 demolition of the New Orleans Pelicans behind Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s 30 points and 7 assists.

 

The Thunder improved to 7-0, remaining undefeated at home, while Zion Williamson tallied 20 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists in a losing effort as New Orleans dropped to 0-6.

 

Hornets roll past Jazz

 

Miles Bridges scored 29 points, while rookie Kon Knueppel had a career-high 24 as the Charlotte Hornets cruised to a 126-103 rout of the Utah Jazz.

 

Lauri Markkanen led Utah with 29 points and 7 rebounds, but the Jazz (2-4) fell apart defensively as the Hornets (3-4) dominated from start to finish.

 

Raptors earn back-to-back wins

 

RJ Barrett and Brandon Ingram combined for 53 points as the Toronto Raptors took down the Memphis Grizzlies, 117-104, for their first back-to-back wins of the season.

 

Scottie Barnes nearly had a triple-double with 19 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 assists, while Jaren Jackson Jr. posted 20 points and 9 rebounds for the Grizzlies. Both teams now sit at 3-4.
