The Philadelphia 76ers kept their unbeaten run alive in dramatic fashion, rallying from a late deficit to outlast the Washington Wizards in overtime, 139–134, to headline Tuesday evening’s slate of NBA games (Wednesday, Oct. 29, Manila time).

Tyrese Maxey continued his breakout start to the season, exploding for 39 points and 10 assists, including clutch plays down the stretch that fueled Philadelphia’s comeback. The Sixers erased a 12-point fourth-quarter deficit before pulling away in the extra period to move to 4-0.

Sophmore sensation Alex Sarr paced the Wizards with 31 points and 11 rebounds, but his heroics weren’t enough to stop Washington from slipping to 1-3.

In Miami, Jaime Jaquez Jr. shone brightest as the Heat unleashed a scoring barrage to rout the Charlotte Hornets, 144–117. The sophomore swingman dropped 28 points, 20 of which came in the first half, as Miami improved to 3-1 at home.

LaMelo Ball flirted with a triple-double for Charlotte, finishing with 20 points, eight rebounds, and nine assists, but his efforts were drowned out by Miami’s balanced attack and hot shooting night.

At Fiserv Forum, Giannis Antetokounmpo reminded everyone why he’s a perennial MVP contender, powering the Milwaukee Bucks to a 121–111 win over the New York Knicks.

The Greek Freak posted a near triple-double with 37 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists, while guard Ryan Rollins provided an unexpected spark with 25 points off the bench.

Jalen Brunson led New York with 36 points, but the Knicks couldn’t overcome Milwaukee’s strong third-quarter surge that broke the game open.

Meanwhile, in Oklahoma City, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander once again delivered a masterclass, pouring in 31 points, nine rebounds, and three blocks to lift the Thunder past the Sacramento Kings, 107–101.

OKC trailed for much of the contest before clamping down defensively in the fourth quarter to remain unbeaten at 5-0 — their best start in recent years. Zach LaVine led the Kings with 23 points in the loss.

Rounding out the night, the Golden State Warriors improved to 4-1 and stayed perfect at home with a 98–79 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.

Jimmy Butler III led a balanced Golden State attack with 21 points, five rebounds, and five assists, while Stephen Curry added 19 points in a game that was controlled by the Warriors’ defense.

The Clippers, who fell to 2-2, struggled mightily on offense, shooting just 37% from the field despite Ivica Zubac’s double-double of 14 points and 13 rebounds.

With Wednesday’s results, the Thunder and 76ers remain the only unbeaten teams in the league, both showcasing early-season chemistry and clutch poise that could make them contenders as the young NBA season unfolds.
