Filipino boxing prospect Kenneth Llover only needed four rounds to stop Argentina’s Luciano Baldor at Bishkek Arena on Sunday, Oct. 26.
It was Llover’s fight from the get-go after the Filipino started the fight aggressively from the opening bell, throwing lightning-quick combinations against the flat-footed Argentinian.
In round two, Llover switched up his rhythm to allow Baldor to make himself available for counter-shots.
Llover waited until the fourth round to land a straight left-counter that made Baldor kneel. The Argentinian was clearly rocked and was unable to beat the count, giving Llover the 11th knockout of his career.

“Lover Boy” moved one step closer to a title shot after improving to a 16-0 win-loss record, while Baldor dropped to a 21-5 slate.
Llover was originally slated to fight Landile Ngxeke of South Africa in a title eliminator before a switch happened that saw Ngxeke face an undefeated Mexican boxer Jose Salas Reyes for the International Boxing Federation (IBF) crown instead.
Llover last fought in August, when he knocked out former world champion Luis Concepcion in the eighth round.
Now on a 16-fight winning streak, it will only be a matter of time until Llover gets his shot at a Bantamweight crown.
