Robert Bolick has remained open to returning to play for Gilas Pilipinas, especially in the upcoming 33rd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in December.
Fans have been clamoring for the former San Beda Red Lions star to be called up since Gilas’ loss to Chinese Taipei in the FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers earlier this year.
Bolick said the door will always remain open and that it will depend upon head coach Tim Cone’s decision.
“Always naman yan. Pag pinatawag ako, nandun ako agad. Siyempre. Pero hindi ko naman na-control yan. Diba? Sa kanila, coach Tim na yan,” Bolick said.

Despite the exclusion in recent years, Bolick urged fans to support the national team regardless of the players called up.
“Kung sino feeling nila fit para sa sistema nila, support nalang tayo sa kanila.Bigay nalang natin yung support na sana manalo sila,” he said.
“Alam naman natin na yun yung gusto ni coach Tim yung lineup niya. So suportahan nalang natin and wish them luck. Sana mabigyan ng pride ang ating bansa,” Bolick added.
Bolick was last seen donning the country’s colors before the 2023 FIBA World Cup, when he was one of the firestarters off the bench for Gilas.
The NLEX Road Warriors guard recently made his PBA 50th season debut with a win against the Phoenix Fuel Masters.
