Filipino boxer Eumir Marcial has returned home to the Philippines for his final training camp against Venezuelan boxer Eddy Colmenares in the Thrilla in Manila 2 card at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Oct. 29.
MP Promotions President Sean Gibbons, fellow Filipino pug Jerwin Ancajas, and trainer Joven Jimenez accompanied the Olympian for their last training hurdles ahead of the 50th anniversary card.
Gibbons said Jimenez, who is also a promoter and trainer of Ancajas, will be tasked to train the Filipino Middleweight.
“Eumir’s going to get trained there in the Philippines by coach Joven,” Gibbons said.

Last month, Marcial trained at the Knuckheads Boxing Gym in Las Vegas, a gym wherein other Filipino boxers also train, including Manny Pacquiao in July, ahead of his fight against Mario Barrios.
Gibbons also previously noted his plans to fast-track Marcial in the Middleweight rankings next year, meaning that the Olympian would have to sit out the 33rd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in December and the Asian Games in Japan in 2026.
Marcial also fought in the Pacquiao headliner against Bernard Joseph, where he stopped the American in three rounds.
