Dave Ildefonso will not be joining the Converge Fiberxers from the Titan Ultra Giant Risers as of yet after the PBA committee rejected the trade.
The proposed deal would’ve sent the former Ateneo star to Converge in exchange for rookie Kobe Monje and a 2027 first-round pick.
PBA reportedly wanted both parties to revise the deal, citing that Titan Ultra, a newcomer in the league, needs to receive more assets.
A similar trade was allowed to go through in the past when the TNT Tropang 5G sent the signing rights for Mikey Williams to Converge in exchange for Jordan Heading.

Converge was reportedly adamant that the deal was sufficient, given the nature of uncertainty in signing Ildefonso, who rejected a P150,000 per month salary from the now-defunct Northport Batang Pier.
The former Korean Basketball League (KBL) star is under contract with the Abra Solid North Weavers in the MPBL for two years.
Despite this, league executives believe that Converge has the best chance of signing Ildefonso due to his history with Strong Group Athletics’ (SGA) Jacob Lao, the team manager of the Fiberxers.
The Giant Risers, who won their debut game against the Meralco Bolts on Sunday, are looking to strengthen their roster even more and are prepared to trade player rights to do so, according to team manager Aldriane Anglim.
