Former UFC two-division king Conor McGregor was suspended by Combat Sports Anti-Doping (CSAD) after violating the UFC’s Anti-Doping Policy (ADP).

According to a release by CSAD, McGregor failed to show up for three sample collections on June 13, Sept. 19, and 20 of last year.

“McGregor missed three attempted biological sample collections within a 12-month period in 2024, which constitutes a violation of the UFC ADP. UFC athletes are required to provide accurate whereabouts information at all times, so they can be contacted and submit to biological sample collections without prior warning. McGregor’s missed tests occurred on June 13, September 19, and September 20, 2024, and were each classified as Whereabouts Failures by CSAD under the UFC ADP,” CSAD said.

“Although McGregor failed to make himself available for testing on those dates, CSAD noted that he was recovering from an injury and was not preparing for an upcoming fight at the time of the three missed tests. McGregor fully cooperated with CSAD’s investigation, accepted responsibility, and provided detailed information that CSAD determined contributed to the missed tests,” the statement continued

The former undisputed Lightweight and Featherweight champion last fought in 2021, when he lost against Dustin Poirier in the latest fight of their trilogy due to a doctor’s stoppage following a broken knee.

A fight with Michael Chandler was arranged last year, with the two even serving as the coaches in the 31st season of the Ultimate Fighter, but a toe injury derailed those plans.

Recently, McGregor had been campaigning to fight in the UFC’s upcoming White House card on June 14,  2026, but those plans seem unlikely due to Conor needing to get a training camp after the suspension, which will be sanctioned from Sept. 20 to March 20, 2026.
