A native of Compostela, Cebu, Rondina grew up in a modest household—her father working as a fisherman and driver, and her mother a dressmaker. Her life changed when she was scouted to play for the University of Santo Tomas (UST), where she led the Golden Tigresses to a UAAP Finals appearance and was named UAAP Most Valuable Player.

Her relentless work ethic and electrifying style of play have since made her one of the PVL’s top stars. She clinched the MVP award in the 2023 PVL Second All-Filipino Conference while leading Choco Mucho to a deep playoff run.

Beyond indoor volleyball, Rondina has also excelled in beach volleyball, winning a bronze medal for the Philippines in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games. Her two-way excellence highlights her versatility and athleticism, setting her apart in the local sports scene.

Internationally, she plays a vital role for Alas Pilipinas, the country’s national women’s volleyball team, and has earned widespread admiration for her energy and leadership on and off the court.

Rondina’s impact even transcended sports when her life story was featured in the 2019 episode “MVP” of Maalaala Mo Kaya, portrayed by actress Kim Chiu.

With her new role as brand ambassador and her continued dominance on the court, Rondina’s journey remains one of the most inspiring stories in Philippine sports—a true testament to grit, perseverance, and Filipino pride.
